I recently recalled a conversation where a meaningful perspective on achievement was shared with me. The perspective shared suggested that being successful wasn’t complicated, and that often times its those who are willing to go an extra inch or try that extra 10%, that are often the ones who will realize their goals or stand out. It doesn’t take much to be more successful than the average, you just need to be willing to try a little harder than the average.
Think about the next routine task or complicated matter for a customer; or the soccer field, ice rink, or gym; or maybe its a birthday party or mentorship opportunity with your child; perhaps its some thoughtful moment with your spouse. What about some dream you have, or an idea you have been pondering but haven’t yet pursued making a reality. How could that extra 10% change your destiny, and the destiny of those around you?
Check out how this young lady demonstrates that extra 10% (well maybe 100%) to land her dream career with Airbnb. Much to learn from her willingness to invest in the opportunity and go above and beyond what the majority would ever consider.
Thanks to my associate Wendy Hyman for sharing the above link with me…..
